Once again OtherWorldComputing has bet my expectations with delivery and online tutorials. I placed an order on Thursday and on Monday I got the memory and toolkit in the mail. Very fast delivery.
I ordered RAM to replace my MBP 2gig to 4gig. The online step by step video was very hand, even through it was very easy process. I then took the 2gig and installed it in my mac mini. This video was also very good. Step by step, nicely paced, only having to pause the video twice because it was taking me longer then the video. This was the first time I ever cracked open a mac mini. Both my macs are now running faster with the new ram.
OtherWorldComputing is a great company and will continue to purchase in my future upgrades.

Recently purchased a Samsung HW-450D Soundbar from Crutchfield. I am very happy with the purchase. We have this on our upstairs living room TV. The location did not call for a full entertainment system. Just need a soundbar for the limited amount of space in the room. And for the small soundbar, it fills up the room with sound a lot better then the TV speakers did.
The soundbar is mounted right under the TV and looks great. The wireless sub is under one of our side tables and out of the way. Hidden and makes good sound for the 6 inch sub woofer. All in all the speaker and sub woofer is a great addition to the TV and room setup.
The only down side is that the dimmer setting does not get saved on when the soundbar is turned off. If you have a logitec harmony remote you can program the dimmer to be switched to the low setting. No big deal, but just a down side.

Received my first iPad 2 about a week ago and it was great. Love the device. Very easy to use and a perfect device to use instead of a laptop. It is more manageable to take with you then a laptop is.
I had to return my first one because of serious backlight bleed and also lifted/raised glass to the right side of the home button and in the same location as the speaker. So I returned it and should have checked this before leaving the store, but the second one also had the same problems. Going to be returning this once as well. Hopefully I will get a replacement from Apple that will have minimal backlight bleed and no lifted glass.
I know that backlight bleed is a common issue with backlit screens, but my ipod and my monitor do not have this problem and also in looking at iPad 1s and 2s they did not have this problem at all. I am looking for one that has minimal backlight bleed.
Apparently this is a common issue with the iPad 2, in looking at the Apple forums there is a good chunk of people that had the ipad 1 with no problem and when they got the second version, they have noticed both issues. Hopefully this will get resolved in later releases of the iPad 2.
I will post again, when I get my new iPad.

Once again OtherWorldComputing steps up and prevails as a customer centric business. My replacement battery that I got about a year ago from them failed. I emailed them and they setup a RMA request right away and I got my new battery within the same week that I sent the old one back.
OtherWorldComputing is a great company and I will be a repeat buyer when I need any equipment from them.

Recently acquired a new Sony Blu-ray Player (BDP-S570). I got it for $150 from BestBuy. I did not want 3D option, but there was no way getting around it. I did want the wifi adapter built in through. This model has the built-in wi-fi and it works great. I have had it for about a week, and there enjoying it very much. The load times are very fast even with BD-Live content. Even the firmware update was fast.
I have also played around with the built-in apps. I setup Pandora, which needed to be registered online and then it magically worked. I also used the Slacker app to listen/water music videos. I personally don't see myself using the applications on the Blu-ray player. I might look at them again when I get bored, but I personally do not see a point to having these applications. I can see having NetFlix, HuluPlus, and Pandora, but out of that, not sure about the other ones.
So far all in all, I am very impressed with the Sony BDP-S570 Blu-ray Player. Internal wifi, quick load times, and fast firmware updates.
