Received my first iPad 2 about a week ago and it was great. Love the device. Very easy to use and a perfect device to use instead of a laptop. It is more manageable to take with you then a laptop is.
I had to return my first one because of serious backlight bleed and also lifted/raised glass to the right side of the home button and in the same location as the speaker. So I returned it and should have checked this before leaving the store, but the second one also had the same problems. Going to be returning this once as well. Hopefully I will get a replacement from Apple that will have minimal backlight bleed and no lifted glass.
I know that backlight bleed is a common issue with backlit screens, but my ipod and my monitor do not have this problem and also in looking at iPad 1s and 2s they did not have this problem at all. I am looking for one that has minimal backlight bleed.
Apparently this is a common issue with the iPad 2, in looking at the Apple forums there is a good chunk of people that had the ipad 1 with no problem and when they got the second version, they have noticed both issues. Hopefully this will get resolved in later releases of the iPad 2.
I will post again, when I get my new iPad.
