Received the Raspberry Pi and low-profile case today in the mail. Not to terrible much to report today. Got the Raspberry Pi installed in the case that I also ordered. The case is a low-profile case which will be perfect inside the picture frame.
Tonight I purchased some velcro so that I will be able to mount the pi/case combo to the back of the monitor and still have room to run cables and secure a backing plate to the frame.
I am waiting to hear back from my wood blank vendor to see if there are any other types of wood species that they carry that might work better (have a better grain pattern than the basswood. We will see in the next few days if they get back to me. If not, I will be placing the order for some basswood 2″x2″ blanks.
Also trying to decide what software/OS to use to install on the pi for the slideshow presentation of my images. More later on this.
