Wahoo Kickr Snap v.2017

In the next couple of days I will be joining the ranks of the indoor biking crowd. I do not like the cold weather and biking out in the winter. Yes, I do have a fat bike, but just do not like biking in the winter. It is not my thing.

We have a indoor recumbent bike, and this bike is soooo boring. I get on it and within 10 minutes I am bored out of my mind. Watching TV or surfing the internet does not fix this. So decided to get a smart indoor trainer and looking at some virtual reality applications/games that will help thing that I am outside while inside.

I went with the Wahoo Kickr Snap v.2017 smart trainer. I also have to purchase the thru-axle set to work with my 2014 Trek Stache mountain bike. And of course a mat to put this all on in my “pain cave” or “suffer cave.”

Other then wanting to have a less boring biking experience while inside I also purchased the Wahoo Kickr Snap is because I also have had the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt for about two month. The Elemnt Bolt is a very easy to use biking computer outside, it will also pair/control the Kickr Snap.

Once I get the smart trainer I will also need to get a trainer/road tire for my Stache to reduce noise and slippage of the tire on the trainer. Waiting to see if my local bike shop will be open next week before I order online. I rather support local than online shops.

Stop back later after I I have used the Kickr Snap for a while and I will get my thoughts posted here.
