Could not pass up the day. Just had to take the Salsa Cutthroat out for the first ride of my biking season. My outside biking season is March/April to October/November. When ever the weather and temperature is around 50 degrees and not snowing.
Since this year I am going to RAGBRAI L in July, the Cutthroat has been outfitted with some additional hardware to assist in this summer adventure. I added a Salsa Wanderlust rear rack and the Salsa EXP Series Anything Cradle for the front. The front will be holding my sleeping bag, well a sleeping quilt by Rumpl. On the rear I have a pair of Ortileb Gravel Panniers.
Soon to be added to the rear rack will be my tent that I will be using for RAGBRAI. The tent that I went with is the Big Agnes Blacktail 2 Hotel Bikepack Tent. With the added weight of the tent this will give me a good idea of how the bike will handle and see how it will be to take it up some of the hills in my area.
I am excited for sure for RAGBRAI….it will be an adventure for sure. If you by chance stumble across this website and are going to RABRAI hope to see you there.
